Portlandissa on suomalaisia muillekkin jakaa!
Kyllä on helpottanut koti ikävää!

Portland has Finnish people enough to go around!
In the past few months I have met two very nice finnish families. Being able to finally speak my native language to someone other than my own family is great. I've also gotten to be the nanny for their lovely little finnish rascals!. My home sickness feels like less of a problem now that I have some fellow finnish people around me . (and of course its nice to have a few more people bringing me back some Finnish goodies!)
I have also been watching some Finnish TV on my laptop to aid the accent that I was developing. I felt like I was having an Identity Crisis when I was told I was getting an American accent when I spoke Finnish.
So all in all, living in Oregon is going pretty well, but I have to say that I miss having my own place, living back at your parents house even if its for a short amount of time might just be the worst experience I've had. I don't see how other people do it. I need my own space and I like my house to be decorated how I decorate it and I have certain standards I like to keep my house to. But the time will come soon enough, all I have to do is get my schooling done and over with and it will be back to Florida to continue my life!
